The Renaissance Goa Resort is located at the far southern end of Colva beach at Varca. Started in 1990, it is a grand structure, with top-notch facilities in a true Renaissance style. Situated amidst 23 acres of enchanting gardens, its surroundings look like a tropical forest. Moreover, the resort has a range of water sports like windsurfing and parasailing. It also boasts of the Goa's only 9-hole pitch and putt golf course.

The resort is conveniently located with just 30 kms from the Dabolim Airport, 10 kms from the Margao railway station and 15 kms from the bus stand.

Character and Style
The resort is built with many Goan architectural works like the sloping red tiled roof, red laterite stone pillars and Goan artifacts which make it all the more incredible. The resort has an open lobby with fountains and far-reaching ceilings. The posh interiors add charm to the Renaissance Goa Resort. In all there are 202 rooms divided as 186 guest rooms, 10 suites and 6 villas. All of them are elegantly appointed with private balconies overlooking landscaped gardens & the sea. All the rooms have individual controlled air-conditioning. There are rooms available for the handicapped also.
Activities
There is an assortment of activities available at the resort like the free-form lagoon-shaped swimming pool, nine-hole golf green, floodlit tennis courts, jogging track, yoga and meditation center, windsurfing, para sailing, water-skiing, jacuzzi, steam, sauna, gymnasium, health club, gaming center and an ayurvedic massage clinic. Goa Nugget is the no-nonsense casino with slots and sippers. The resort also has a discotheque which converts into a mini theatre and aerobics room during the day.
Drinks and Dining
The resort has a selection of specialty restaurants where you can enjoy lip smacking delicacies. The Lanai Lounge, placed on the lower level, serves Goan, Indian or Continental cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Ocean Waves serves the grilled seafood accompanied with the wines. The Polynesian Hut is a seasonal restaurant set by the beach side. You can experience romantic dining under the starry night sky. Its specialty is the Polynesian platter and cocktails for dinner. The Carnival, situated at the lower lobby level, offers Mediterranean and oriental cuisine for dinner with the choicest of wines. It is celebrated for its grills, tandoori, barbeque and Goan cuisine. It also holds theme buffet at night with live music and dance. The Cascada, providing an amazing view of the swimming pool and the waterfalls, serves Continental and Indian light meals, sandwiches and snacks.
